Welcome to my website. It is designed to provide you with information about me as a therapist, counsellor and consultant. It also provides an introduction to the kinds of issues I can help you with, and how we might work together.
When I work with clients, they can expect an empathic, sometimes challenging process, whereby change occurs utilizing the therapeutic relationship as the vehicle to promote enhanced understanding and self-awareness.
My experience as a Counsellor and Psychotherapist developed over fifteen years as a Child and Family Therapist with a major children's mental health centre followed by ten years as senior clinician at an LGBT and HIV/AIDS Counselling Program.
I have been in private practice since 2003. As a Registered Social Worker, I am an accredited member of The Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers as well as the Ontario Association of Social Workers. In a supportive and understanding environment, I offer short as well as long-term therapy for clients who come with issues such as depression, low self-esteem, addictions, relationship struggles, grief and loss, and sexual identity. I am Professor at Guelph-Humber University and with a commitment to education in the social work field, I also offer Clinical Supervision and Consultation to practitioners who seek enhanced clinical insight into their work.
My practice is located in downtown Toronto at 99 Crown's Lane, Toronto, close to Yonge and Bloor, just south of Yonge and Summerhill.
